Huit ans après la fin de la série culte, il est temps de prendre des nouvelles d'un des acteurs de "Desperate Housewives". Aujourd'hui âgé de 42 ans, l'acteur américain vient de vivre une rupture dont il se remet doucement, en participant à la version U.S de "Danse avec les stars". En effet, l'acteur américain qui jouait le rôle du jardinier musclé dans Desperate Housewives a passé la barre de la quarantaine et a pris quelques grammes. Jesse Metcalfe, ancien mannequin, a joué dans quelques épisodes de Smallville avant d'incarner John Rowland, un lycéen de 17 ans qui arrondissait ses fins de mois en s'occupant du jardin de Gabrielle Solis et de son époux, Carlos. Plus que de tailler la haie et passer un coup de tondeuse, John Rowland était surtout l'amant du personnage d'Eva Longoria. À l'époque, il était âgé de 26 ans. Eva Longoria, elle, en avait 29. Depuis son passage remarqué dans la série à succès, Jesse Metcalfe a décroché un rôle dans la suite de la série Dallas et même participé à la saison 29 de la version américaine de Danse avec les stars, diffusée cette année en 2020. Son projet le plus récent est Hard Kill, un film d'action sorti en ligne, avec Bruce Willis.Jesse Metcalfe continue donc de mener une vie publique. Suivi par près d'un million de fans sur Instagram, il fait désormais de la publicité pour des tondeuses à gazon. Cigares, piscines, guitares et motos à grosses cylindrées : l'Américain semble mener une vie bien douce depuis la fin de Desperate Housewives. En 2007, après la diffusion de la saison 3, Jesse Metcalfe a fait un passage dans un centre spécialisé afin de soigner son alcoolisme.
