Daniel Jaen ... Daniel Jaen is a contemporary painter and investigator of the human body. Through his portraits, the artist puts his own sexuality under discussion and questions the image of men in today's society. His dy-namic and fragmented brushstrokes invoke masculine fragility and allow these figures to manifest them-selves in their most sensitive forms. The artist intends to go beyond the physical body. The several layers of painting, the often visible sketches and unfinished parts, create the most diverse connotations and let the viewer reach other psychological and emotional extensions of men. Daniel has a close relationship with social networks that is directly manifested in his work. His technique has a strong influence of sev-eral other contemporary artists with whom he connects on digital platforms.

 

Alexander Canedo ... Alexander Canedo (1902-1978) was a Mexican-American artist primarily influenced by the 1920s. The 1920s and 1930s saw continued development and evolution of the key innovations of the primary years of the twentieth century. To have this time as the formative period for an artist was to be surrounded by inspiring practitioners of the pictorial arts. It was also a time of recovery and introspection after the hor-rors of the First World War, which saw significant shifts in the political world. Marxism was a prevalent political ideology which was also tremendously influential amongst artists and their communities. Im-portant artistic developments included a kind of expressive mannerism which was epitomised by Brancu-si, Modigliani and Soutine in Paris.

 

Agostino Arrivabene ... Agostino Arrivabene, a very talented Italian painter, is a painter of decadence, dream and ancient symbologies who uses his own homemade pigments and colors and tries to revive ancient pictorial techniques. Arrivabene was born in Rivolta d’Adda, in the province of Cremona, Italy in 1967. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in 1991. He then travelled to various Italian and international cities seeking out the work of the Old Masters, deepening his knowledge of his craft, and bringing to bear a great influence upon the future development of his own artwork.

 

Mike Kuchar ... Mike Kuchar is born in 1942 in New York, NY. He lives and works in San Francisco, CA

Jack Smith ... Jack Smith is a British painter, currently based in Barcelona. He mostly paints landscapes and portraits. One of his portraits is currently exhibited at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona. He has also exhibited in several venues in the United Kingdom including the Museum of Oxford and the Pitt Rivers Museum. Jack likes to experiment with different techniques. He uses palette knives to apply the paint thickly and lately has been using fast circular motions to give a dreamlike quality. Jack’s favourite artists include Post-Impressionist painters such as Paul Cézanne, and contemporary artists such as Raynald Leclerc and Josephine Trotter. Jack has a strong engagement with the LGBTQ+ community and his Pride in London painting was recently selected by the UK Magistrates Association to be among the exhibition: “A 100 years of justice”. He was also invited for a solo exhibition at St. John’s College, University of Oxford with a series of portraits depicting the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Oxford.

 

John Dugdale ... John Dugdale (born 1960 in Connecticut) is an American art photographer. Internationally renowned he creates poignant and stirringly intimate imagery using 19th century photographic processes and a 19th century aesthetic. At the age of 33, Dugdale had a transformative experience of nearly total blindness due to a stroke and CMV retinitis, an HIV-related illness. Completely blind in his right eye, Dugdale found himself seeing with less than twenty percent visibility in his left eye. While blindness ended his successful commercial photography career, he found himself free to explore his fine art, using friends and family members as studio assistants.

 

Gustau Donat ... Gustau Donat lives in Valencia, Spain. He studied Fine Arts and Philosophy and he has been a teacher of drawing and painting in various workshops. He is currently in the exercise of painting.

 

Bastiaan Mol ... Bastiaan Mol (1954) is a dutch visual artist based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He never works digital but prefers materials such as watercolours, gouache, pen+ink, graphite, acrylics and pastels to work with. Bastiaan Mol prefers working after live models,but also finds inspiration in photos of the web that however are changed usually in something completely different. Bastiaan Mol got his art education in Belgium at the Academy for Arts and Crafts (Illustration design) in Antwerp (1986-1991). Subjects for his paintings are mainly the male figure in various materials and styles , but also animals (mainly birds) , music inspired portraits , the old Hollywood ,etc.

 

Bruce Bellas ... Bruce Bellas (1909-1974) was an influential photographer of male nudes. Bellas was well known under the pseudonym Bruce of Los Angeles. Bellas was known to travel around the country, finding new models to photograph and also personally delivering nude photographs to customers, since they were liable to be seized by postal inspectors if sent through the mail.

 

André Delfau ... André Delfau (1914-2000) né à Paris, fait les Etudes et Arts appliqués et les Beaux-Arts. Il commence sa carrière par la publicité, le dessin de mode (Vogue), puis se consacre à la peinture, aux décors, aux costumes de théâtre et du spectacle. Il a travaillé pour l’Opéra de Paris, le théâtre de l’Odéon, ainsi que pour les grands ballets du Marquis de Cuevas, la Comédie française, le théâtre Sarah Bernhardt, etc. Il fait de nombreux voyages au Maroc où il exécute des scènes typiques telles que les mariages et intérieurs de hammams. Il visite l’Indonésie et s’intéresse à la danse à Bali. Au Japon, il demeure spectateur attentif des théâtres Nö et Kabuki. Dans toute l’Asie il recherche les formes anciennes de la danse.

 

Andrew Bowman ... Photographer based near Oxford, Andrew Bowman specialises in male photography, colour and black and white. Happy doing everything from portraits to nude, rude and raunchy in a domestic environment, although he does occasional outdoor shoots too. Most shoots done in evening or Saturdays as he has another day job. He mainly works on a TFCD basis with a model release.

Jonathan Kent Adams ... From large scale installations to tiny works on paper, Jonathan Kent Adams presents his paintings in traditional and unorthodox ways. This presentation allows for viewers to imagine those who do not follow social constructions existing alongside those who do. He currently resides and makes work in Oxford, Mississippi.
